Children of the Promise
“The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” — Deuteronomy 31:8
Here is the vision, in plain words. It isn’t a program yet. It’s a promise we’re working toward, and we’d rather tell you about it now, while it’s still being built, than wait until it’s polished.
We want to send children to school who otherwise couldn’t go, and we want each of those children to grow up knowing two things: with God you are never alone, and He will send help. Not someday. Now, through people who show up.
What we’re building toward
A sponsorship that covers one child for one full school year:
- School fees and registration
- Uniform and shoes
- Books and supplies
- A Bible with their name in it
- A note from the people who made it possible
We’re planning around $350 per child per year, and a first group of 10 children for the 2028–2029 school year.
How it’s funded
5% of every sale. From today, 5% of every order at Claimed by God Designs goes into the Children of the Promise fund. That’s it for now. We’re not asking you for extra money while this is still a vision. When you buy a shirt, a mug, or a gift here, you’re already building it.
We’ll post the fund total on this page and update it every month, so you always know where it stands.
What we need from you right now: channels
We don’t have a partner yet, and we won’t pretend otherwise. To do this well, we need churches, schools, and ministries on the ground that already know the families, can confirm the need, and can make sure the money becomes a desk, a uniform, and a seat in a classroom.
This is where you come in. Many of you already have a church, a mission, or a school that is near and dear to your heart and already doing this kind of work. Tell us about them. Name, location, what they do, and why you trust them. We’ll build a list, reach out, and share who we’re talking with as the picture becomes clearer. When the program starts, these are the channels it will run through.
Meet the children
If and when the first group begins school, families who choose to take part will be introduced here, first names only, as the Children of the Promise: living proof of what Christ does through a community that shows up. Every child’s story will be shared only with a parent or guardian’s written permission.
The road ahead
- 2026: Open the fund with 5% of every sale. Start collecting partner referrals from you.
- 2027: Choose a partner. Release the Promise Collection, where 100% of profit goes to the fund. Set the first group’s budget.
- Spring 2028: Select the first 10 children with our partner.
- Fall 2028: First day of school.
- Fall 2030: After two years of the program running, we open it up so you can contribute directly and sponsor a child yourself.
Why wait to ask for your money? Because we want you to see it working first. Two school years of children in classrooms, with real updates, before we ever ask you for a dollar beyond what you already spend here.
Our promise to you, either way
We don’t know yet whether we’ll be able to build this ourselves. So here is the commitment that doesn’t depend on that: if Children of the Promise hasn’t launched by fall 2028, every dollar in the fund will be given to an established organization that sends children to school, chosen from the ones you’ve referred. Nothing stays in a holding account. Nothing goes back into the business. Your purchases reach a child one way or the other.
The honest part
Claimed by God Designs is a small business, not a charity. The fund is kept in its own account and used only for this purpose. If the program outgrows what a small business can carry, we’ll form a nonprofit so it can go further. Until then, we’ll keep it simple and keep it honest.
Why this, and why us
Because this store exists to tell people they are claimed by God. A child who gets to go to school because strangers who love Jesus paid their way learns that lesson in a way no shirt can teach. That’s the fruit we want to see from all of this.
