“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”Psalm 119:105

Read It Right

How to actually read the Bible: context, genre, and what’s really a promise to you.

The Bible isn’t one book. It’s a library of 66 books, written over about 1,500 years, in poetry, history, law, letters, prophecy and more. Read a psalm like a contract or a proverb like a guarantee and you’ll get confused, or hurt. This is a short, practical guide to reading it the way it was written, so you can hear what God is actually saying.
