How to Actually Use These Verses

  • Pick one, not thirty. Choose the verse that fits today and stay with it for a week.
  • Write it where you'll see it: your phone lock screen, bathroom mirror, car dashboard.
  • Pray it back to God. Turn Isaiah 41:10 into “Lord, You said You're with me. I'm holding You to that right now.”
  • Breathe it. Slow breathing calms your body's alarm system. Breathe in on “When I am afraid,” and out on “I will trust in You.”
  • Speak it out loud. Jesus answered the enemy with spoken Scripture: “It is written” (Matthew 4:4).
  • Use it to take a thought captive. Swap the specific lie for the specific truth. Here's a simple 4-step method.

Verses Plus Help, Not Verses Instead of Help

Scripture is powerful and true. And if anxiety is interfering with your sleep, work or relationships, God can also work through a doctor, a counselor or medication. Needing both isn't weak faith. Read why seeking help is not a lack of faith.
