“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”Psalm 147:3

Hurt by the Church, Held by Jesus

For the ones burned by a pastor, a church, or people who said they spoke for God.

If church is where you got hurt, you’re not alone, and you’re not crazy. Jesus’ harshest words weren’t for sinners. They were for religious leaders who loaded heavy burdens on people’s shoulders (Matthew 23:4). This page isn’t here to push you back into a pew. It’s here to help you separate Jesus from the people who hurt you in His name, tell ordinary church imperfection from real abuse, and find your way toward healing at your own pace.

You set the pace here.Nothing on this page will tell you to “just go back to church.” Healing first.
