“If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here!”2 Corinthians 5:17
It Stops With Me
Breaking generational chains biblically, with real-life application.
“It’s in my blood.” “All the men in my family drink.” “We just yell. That’s how we are.” Some of us believe we’re doomed to repeat our family’s story. Others believe there’s a curse on the family that some prophet can lift for $777. The Bible says something more hopeful than the first and more practical than the second. Patterns are real and they travel. In Christ, they don’t get the last word. And breaking them takes both prayer and practice. Somebody in your family has to be the first. Why not you?
Built on Exodus 20:5–6 and 34:6–7, Ezekiel 18, Jeremiah 31:29–30, Galatians 3:13, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 12:2, Genesis 12, 20, 26, 27 and 37, 2 Kings 18 and 22, Ruth 4 and 2 Timothy 1:5. Christians hold different views on generational curses; this page presents them fairly. Not a substitute for pastoral care, medical care, or licensed counseling.
