“You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you… in a dry and parched land where there is no water.”Psalm 63:1

Dry Season

When God feels far away, prayer feels like talking to the ceiling, and worship feels like going through the motions.

You still believe. You just don’t feel anything. Your Bible sits unopened, worship songs that used to wreck you now leave you flat, and you wonder what happened. Spiritual dryness is one of the most common experiences in the Christian life, and one of the least talked about. David wrote psalms from the desert. Jesus Himself went into the wilderness. Dryness isn’t proof God left. Sometimes it’s where roots grow deepest.
