Open Door, Inner Circle
Open table. Guarded heart.
Jesus ate with everyone. Jesus also had a short list of people He took into the hardest rooms of His life. Christians often feel stuck between “welcome everybody” and “watch your company.” The Bible says: do both, and know which is which.
⭕ Jesus had circles
Jesus loved everyone completely. He didn’t give everyone the same access. Tap each circle, from the crowd to the one closest to Him.
Tap a circle to start.
Notice: the circles were about trust and calling, never status. The outer circle got His compassion, His meals and His miracles. The inner circle got His tears in Gethsemane. Everyone was welcome at the table. Not everyone got the inner room.
🚪 Door or wall?
Ten real situations. Is it an open door (welcome), a wise boundary (guarding your heart), or a wall (exclusion)?
🍽️ The Peter moment
Peter had a vision from God telling him not to call anyone unclean (Acts 10:28). He ate with Gentile believers in Antioch. Then the “important” people from Jerusalem showed up.
Even Barnabas followed him. Paul called it out to his face. Peter wasn’t a bad guy. He was a scared one. Most exclusion isn’t hatred. It’s fear of what the important people will think.
